Creating an Accessibility Strategy for Your Online Courses (Fall 2025)

As faculty prepare their online courses for the upcoming semester, ensuring accessibility is not just a legal requirement—it’s a commitment to inclusive education. This one-hour session will guide instructors through the process of developing a practical and sustainable accessibility strategy tailored to their course design. Participants will explore key principles, tools, and workflows that support equitable access for all learners, including those with disabilities. Whether you’re updating existing materials or building new content, this session will help you embed accessibility from the start.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify core accessibility principles and explain how they apply to online course design.
- Evaluate course materials and activities for common accessibility barriers using practical tools and checklists.
- Develop a personalized accessibility strategy that aligns with institutional guidelines and supports diverse learner needs.
