The NED was established to provide educational development opportunities that are designed by Minnesota State faculty and staff for Minnesota State faculty and staff. These opportunities help build awareness, develop knowledge, skills, and abilities, and provide space for reflecting and revising.

Avenues to OER: A panel discussion
There are many avenues to begin your OER journey, hear from two Minnesota State faculty members, Dan Allosso and Katie Nelson, who have experience authoring, redesigning, and collaborating on an open textbook. Karen Pikula, OER Faculty Development Coordinator, will moderate and offer her experiences running the OER Learning Circles.

Koffee with Karen: OER Community Conversations are open forum conversations for all to share, discuss, and learn from colleagues in the Minnesota State OER community. Hosted by Karen Pikula, the OER Faculty Development Coordinator, Koffee with Karen conversations are virtual, hour-long meetings held twice per semester and often feature a guest speaker on a topic of interest.
