Navigating AI in the writing classroom webinar
We are going into the fourth year of LLMs being widely available and frequently used by students in writing classrooms across colleges and universities. The ubiquity of these new programs has largely disrupted these learning spaces — particularly for beginning writing students who are just starting to find their voice, as well as students whose first language is not be English. How are writing instructors navigating these changes, in order to ensure that our students meet the course goals? How do we encourage and require them to develop their linguistic and critical thinking skills, rather than surrender to the ease of automation?
