Teaching with AI Workshop (November 2024)

In-Person Workshop
Location: Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College
This hands-on introductory workshop provides time and space for applying AI in your teaching context. Participants will collectively explore generative AI tools and (re-)design a learning activity or assessment that supports AI literacy, incorporates or resists generative AI tools, and applies equitable teaching practices. At the end of the workshop participants will be provided with additional resources to explore topics further on their own.Â

Workshop Learning ObjectivesÂ
After completing the course, participants will be able to:Â
- Craft content, a learning activity, an assessment, or an instructional process that supports AI literacy.
- Create content, a learning activity, an assessment, or an instructional process that incorporates or resists generative AI tools.
- Incorporate equitable teaching practices into content, a learning activity, an assessment, or an instructional process.

Faculty (Full-time and part-time), Instructional Designers and Technologists, Faculty Developers/Trainers, and Concurrent Enrollment instructors.Â

Note: Throughout the 2024-2025 academic year, the Teaching with AI Workshop will be offered in-person in three regional locations: north, south, and central Minnesota. There will also be a Zoom version offered in 4 parts.
