Clay Shirky – Guest Speaker

Clay Shirky – writer, teacher and speaker on social and economic effects of internet technologies – will be speaking to the Minnesota Learning Commons (MnLC) on Thursday, March 7 at 1:00 pm.  Clay has a joint appointment at NYU and Professor of New Media at Hunter College.  His chief interests are the Internet’s effect in shifting power from producer to consumer in the media; the internet economy and its effect on national culture; Open Source Software and the post-PC network ecology and key element of MOOCs is the open component.
