Legislative Update – February 19, 2015

Yesterday at the Capitol

The University of Minnesota presented their biennial budget request of $148.2 million to the House Higher Education Policy and Finance Committee yesterday afternoon. The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities is scheduled to be before the committee on Tuesday, February 24 with the system’s biennial budget request of $142 million to support a compensation increase and the costs of operations at the MnSCU colleges and universities. The request will provide Minnesota with an educated citizenry and a skilled workforce, as well as protect affordability and the quality programs that are essential to serving students and communities across Minnesota.   MnSCU’s legislative request
