Legislative Update – February 23, 2015

Good morning. It’s going to be a busy week for higher education at the Capitol. The House Ways and Means Committee will learn more about public higher education this morning, when MnSCU and the University of Minnesota present budget and enrollment trends to committee members. Tomorrow, MnSCU is scheduled to present the Board approved budget request of $142 million to the House Higher Education Policy and Finance Committee; and on Wednesday, both MnSCU and the University of Minnesota will provide presentations to the committee regarding the results of performance funding metrics that were set in law in 2013. We will continue to keep you updated on these hearings and others throughout the week.
