Summer Online Quality Matters Workshops

Two online Quality Matters workshops have been added to the schedule for June. If you’re looking for a workshop to learn more about Quality Matters or how to improve your online courses, here are two great opportunities for you to consider.  You can expect to spend about 10 hours/ week on each workshop – concurrent enrollment is possible.

Workshop 1: Improving Your Online Course (IYOC)

Time:  Online for 2 weeks starting June 3
Description: The “Improve Your Online Course” workshop explores the QM Rubric and provides a framework to improve the quality of online courses. Participants use the QM Rubric to review their online courses and develop a course improvement plan. The content is based on the eight general standards of the Quality Matters Rubric.  You should have an online course ready to improve. This workshop is not for building a course from scratch.

Cost for the IYOC is $40.00 for MnSCU faculty & staff. Each session is limited to 20 participants.  More information about how to register is available in the MOQI Registration Guide.   Register here.

Workshop 2: Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR)

Time: Online for 2 weeks starting June 3
Description:  The Applying the QM Rubric (APPQMR) workshop is QM’s flagship workshop on the QM Rubric and the process of using the QM Rubric to review online courses. It is intended for a broad audience, including but not limited to faculty, instructional designers, administrators, and adjunct instructors who wish to understand more about the QM Rubric and process of course review.

The APPQMR is the pre-requisite for the Peer Reviewer Course, which is the required course to become a QM Peer Reviewer.

Cost for the APPQMR is $50.00 for MnSCU faculty & staff. Each session is limited to 20 participants. More information about how to register is available in the MOQI Registration GuideRegister here.
