We are pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Wojtanowski as the System Director for Innovative Teaching and Learning in the Educational Innovations Unit of Academic and Student Affairs, system office. Scott will begin his work with us on October 26, 2015.
Throughout his career, Scott’s strength has been his ability to evaluate thoughtfully new technologies and pedagogical approaches that come in and out of vogue. His work is informed by a doctorate in learning technologies from the University of Minnesota and over ten years of practical experiences in teaching, technology, and professional development in higher education.
Scott has applied his education and experience in the following ways:
- Creating meaningful professional development programs to support traditional (face-to-face), hybrid, and online education models.
- Applying the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) to evaluate student learning in context.
- Developing strong connections between a network of institutions within a statewide university and college system.
In addition to his Ph.D., Scott has a M.Ed. in learning technologies from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. in Business Education from Winona State University.
