“Just for Deans” Webinar Series – Save the Dates

I would greatly appreciate your input on two things as listed below:

  1. I was asked to help facilitate the affinity group session next week and would like your input on “hot” topics for the session.  We’ll be doing a round table type discussion based on topics and I need to know what you want to talk about.  What is pressing?  What do you want to talk to your colleagues about?  What is keeping you up at night?  What practices or systems or ideas have you been working on that we’d all benefit from?  This is a valuable time for us to have some great discussion so thank you in advance for your thoughts.
  1. Back by Popular Demand: Webinar Series for Academic Deans:  Hopefully you were able to participate in these sessions last academic year.  And if you were not, they are available on the deans training module for you to review. (Let me know if you need access to this – everyone should have but….)

We began the webinar series last year in response to requests for more development opportunities that support the unique and critical roles of Academic Deans so it really is totally based on what you need or want to know and learn.  This year, the webinar series will be offered from November – July.  A planning team of academic deans and system office staff reviewed feedback on potential webinar topics from your discussions last spring at the ASA conference dean affinity group sessions. Please take the following survey, by November 2 to express your interest in the initially identified topics as well as other new topics.  This also helps us identify potential presenters through your recommendations – and that does include recommending yourself.

The following dates and times for these informational webinars (which will be available via WebEx) are listed below. A flyer with information on the first webinar will be sent early-November.

Thursday, November 19, 2015: 11:00 AM – Noon
Thursday, December 17, 2015: 11:00 AM – Noon

Thanks again for taking the time to review and provide input.  See you next week!
