The first-ever Educational Innovations version of “Shark Tank” was held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Sheraton Bloomington. The event was attended by over 150 faculty development leaders, campus academic technology teams, students and staff innovators. After an engaging networking activity, participants moved to hear and watch 22 “pitch presentations” for funding in the following four categories:
- High Impact Practices
- Mentoring & Counseling
- Competency-Based Learning & Analytics
- Simulation & Gamification
Throughout the evening, participants tweeted the excitement at #MnShark. Recipients of the funding awards will be notified by May 13, 2016.
