Date: May 22-24, 2023
Location: St. Cloud State University

In-person only

Join us for the annual Spring Conference held at St. Cloud State University from May 22-24, 2023. This conference is jointly hosted by Minnesota State Academic and Student Affairs and the Office of Equity and Inclusion.

Equity in Action: Activating Change

The conference will focus on key initiatives and priorities in support of Equity 2030:

  • Minnesota State Guided Learning Pathways
  • Strategic Enrollment Management
  • Equity by Design
  • Equity Scorecard

As leaders in a state system of higher education, we have a particular responsibility to confront longstanding systemic inequity and visibly stand for the values of inclusive excellence. During our time together, you’ll engage in thought provoking workshops, share practices, hear from key leaders and experts to help your campus continue to implement strategies to close equity gaps.

This year’s conference will focus on developing concrete steps and actions to ensure our institutions and learning environments that are more inclusive and equitable spaces (within and outside of the classroom). In this context, we recognize that the continued partnership between Academic and Student Affairs and the Office of Equity and Inclusion is imperative to help ensure our students succeed through their entire academic journey. We hope that you will join us in Activating Change in St. Cloud!

There will be structured opportunities and streams within the conference schedule to focus on the key themes and initiatives noted above, as well as opportunities to connect with peers across the system in affinity group meetings.

Present or Facilitate a Workshop

In addition, there will be workshop-style breakout sessions on topics connected to the initiatives and priorities listed above. While we are identifying facilitators for those sessions, if you are interested in presenting and facilitating on a workshop on a related topic, please contact the conference organizers.
