Strategic Enrollment Management Workshops

The Art of Marketing and Communications in SEM Planning

November 28, 2023

1:00 – 5:00 p.m. | Virtual

During the past several years, the colleges and universities of Minnesota State have been developing Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) plans. It’s now time to take a deep dive into one aspect of successful SEM planning: Developing effective marketing and communications for prospective, admitted and current students.

In this interactive and engaging session, participants will learn about the role of marketing in SEM planning; developing and identifying your institution’s value proposition, persona and voice; and tactical strategies to use this information with external and internal constituents, otherwise known as prospective and current students.

The session will conclude with how to infuse this work into a SEM plan, with time for Q&A throughout.

Facilitated by AACRAO Consulting: Dr. Alicia Moore and Dr. John Haller.

Intended Audience

Minnesota State SEM Leadership – Directors, Deans, Vice Presidents, Presidents.
