The NED was established to provide educational development opportunities that are designed by Minnesota State faculty and staff for Minnesota State faculty and staff. These opportunities help build awareness, develop knowledge, skills, and abilities, and provide space for reflecting and revising.

Anti-Racist Pedagogy: Fall 2021 (3 week short course)

Course Learning ObjectivesÂ
Through engaging in the work of the training, faculty will be able to:
- Define anti-racist pedagogy as an individual and community process, and why it is important
- Learn strategies for sustained critical self-reflection as a foundation for anti-racism work
- Begin applying anti-racist pedagogy to their classes, across their curriculum in their department, and across their college
Technical Skill Requirements
- Use a web browserÂ
- Create, save and upload Word documentsÂ
- Navigate Microsoft WindowsÂ
- Create and send an email using your MinnState accountÂ
- Evaluate and decide whether or not to use OneDriveÂ
- Set up, Attend, and Participate in Zoom gatheringsÂ
- Perform basic tasks associated with the following D2L Brightspace tools: Content, Quizzes, Surveys, Discussion, and AssignmentsÂ

Faculty (Full-time and part-time), Instructional Designers and Technologists, and Faculty Developers/Trainers.Â
Estimated Time CommitmentÂ
Most participants are able to complete this course by committing 4-6 hours per week (mileage may vary).
