Connecting the Classroom to Minnesota State Guided Learning Pathways
March 3, 2023 @ 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. – Virtual
This workshop will include concrete examples of what Minnesota State Guided Learning Pathways might look like in the classroom such as the application of culturally responsive pedagogy and practical ways to implement course activities that are aligned with career pathways.
Time will be dedicated for participants to review how campus faculty have aligned courses to and within academic programs and articulated this alignment to students and others. Colleagues from across Minnesota State will share examples of how they have successfully integrated Minnesota State Guided Learning Pathways into their programs and classrooms.
Faculty and staff are critical to the implementation and success of Minnesota State Guided Learning Pathways – specifically Curricular and Program Design and Delivery. Minnesota State Guided Learning Pathways focuses on the holistic student experience including in the class experiences, interactions with faculty, and understanding how even individual courses fit into programs and recommended sequencing.
Series Overview
To strengthen faculty, staff, and administrator awareness and understanding of Minnesota State Guided Learning Pathways, the Minnesota State Educational Development Committee has prepared a series of development opportunities to learn the what, why, and how of the Minnesota State Guided Learning Pathways framework and its integral thread to the fabric of Equity 2030.
In this series, participants will be provided and overview of the framework and a deeper exploration of one area of the framework, Curricular and Program Design & Delivery, as it intersects directly with the work we do in our classrooms — regardless of modality.
Additionally, participants will learn about the Network for Educational Development (NED) and meet other individuals who are engaging with Minnesota State Guided Learning Pathways on their campuses.
