Cultural Competence for Professional Fluency
September 12 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PMFree
Lake Superior College has an ongoing initiative called Professional Fluency focusing on different aspects of professionalism that faculty can bring into their classes and actively teach. The first four aspects of professionalism we focused on were Timeliness, Respect, Taking Personal Responsibility, and Oral and Written Communication. We created a rubric defining how students can demonstrate these things along with teaching suggestions. Last fall, we added a new aspect: Cultural Competence. Join this webinar to hear about the Professional Fluency initiative at LSC and how we are approaching Cultural Competence on our campus and share your ideas for improvement!
