Enhancing Student Learning Outcomes Through Feedback
As faculty, our role extends beyond delivering course content—we are also essential in helping students consolidate knowledge into long-term memory. However, without effective feedback, students’ metacognitive awareness may remain inaccurate, leading to overconfidence and a disconnect between perceived and actual learning (Agarwal & Bain, 2019). This webinar will introduce two evidence-based forms of feedback—elaborative feedback and correct answer feedback—that have been shown to enhance student learning. Participants will also gain practical strategies to incorporate additional feedback into their teaching practices, ultimately fostering deeper learning and student success.
