Equity 2030 Chancellor’s Academic Equity Fellows Recommendations (Webinar)

March 10, 2021 @ 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Free

In January 2020, Chancellor Malhotra appointed four Equity 2030 Chancellor’s Fellows from among Minnesota State faculty across the state to generate an essential knowledge base to lay the philosophical and practical groundwork for Equity 2030. Drs. Ruthann Crapo Kim and Ajaykumar Panicker were selected as the Chancellor’s Fellows for Academic Equity. They were tasked with collecting information on best practices and forwarding recommendations for providing Equity 2030 with a solid, evidence-based underpinning. During this session, Drs. Kim and Panicker will present a selection of their recommendations and reflect on the work they are engaged with on their campuses since their Fellowships have ended. Teri Lyn Hinds, Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives – Equity 2030 will also identify concrete system office work following from and aligning with the Fellows’ recommendations and the Equity 2030 Priorities.

Presenters:

  • Ruthanne Crapo Kim, Professor, Department of Philosophy, Minneapolis College
  • Ajaykumar Panicker, Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Metropolitan State University

Facilitator: Teri Lyn Hinds, Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives – Equity 2030, Minnesota
