OER Community Conversations: December 2021
December 1, 2021 @ 3:00 PM - 4:00 PMFree
Topic: Introduction to Open Pedagogy
Open pedagogy allows students to assist with the creation and delivery of course content. Lori-Beth Larsen and Karen Pikula will share their open pedagogy-related knowledge and experiences.
Karen will define and cover some of the history of open pedagogy and touch on its benefits and challenges for faculty and students. Lori-Beth will share how her students have created chapters of textbooks for future students, created blogs that might be publicly available (based on students’ choice), and applied their expertise to serve their community.
Please join us to share your experiences with open pedagogy or with any questions you may have.
This session will lay the groundwork for the Open Pedagogy panel and workshop on January 6, 2022. The panelists are from the 2022 Open Ed Conference. Details coming soon.
