RSI 3: Regular and Substantive Interaction: Discussion Strategies and Tools for the Online Classroom

Free“Why do we have to have so many discussions?” If you have ever struggled to explain or justify the need for discussions in your online asynchronous courses, you are not alone. But discussion boards can provide crucial connections, especially learner to learner and instructor to learner.
In this webinar you will explore the concept of instructor presence, its importance for student learning, and its relationship to U.S. Department of Education regulations on “regular and substantive interaction.” More specifically, you will learn how discussions support learners and discover tools and strategies to help you create more effective online discussions.
