Strategies for teaching creative writing at the two-year college

August 12 @ 2:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Free
NED: Foundations

Creative writing is a discipline that can help people tell their own stories, connect to others, and build community. But teaching these classes to new college students presents its own challenges.

Longtime creative writing instructor and writer will take you through some strategies for engagement and achievement that have worked in her classes, and offer you the space to do the same.

Accommodations

The NED is committed to providing universal access to all of our events, we’d like to discover how we can make the event more inclusive so you can fully participate!

Machine generated captions are available in real-time for all Zoom events, however human generated CART (live caption) service and ASL interpretation can be requested with advanced notice (2 weeks) to make the event more accessible.

Please, let us know of any disability-related accommodations that will facilitate your full participation.
