Understanding Writing and Research in the Disciplines: Phase 2 (Innovation Expo)

March 19 @ 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Free
Innovation Expo

Southwest Minnesota State University

Background

The English faculty at Southwest Minnesota State University envisioned a website of free online resources that could replace the need for textbooks in their English 251: Writing in the Professions course. Through a collaborative effort between 18 faculty members, the group authored original materials that crosscut disciplines and programs across the campus. They then provided these materials to students via the web using a content management system.

Presenter: Amanda Bemer, Southwest Minnesota State University
