The Century College Office of Diversity and Inclusion and Multicultural Center are pleased to host Lisa S. McNair in honor of Black History Month on February 25th, “Bombing in Birmingham-Healing and Reconciliation Through Historical Tragedy and Trauma.”

Ms. McNair is the younger sister of Carol Denise’ McNair, one of the four girls killed in the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, by dynamite the Ku Klux Klan planted the night before.

In 2013, President Barack Obama honored their memory in a ceremony where he awarded the four girls the Congressional Gold Medal. Ms. McNair is a national public speaker traveling throughout America, promoting love, and educating audiences on the power of racial harmony.

Hosted by the Century College Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Multicultural Center.
