The course syllabus is, as William Germano and Kit Nicholls note in their subtitle of their 2020 book Syllabus: The Remarkable, Unremarkable Document That Changes Everything. So, it’s the middle of the semester, but it’s never too soon to be thinking about how you might consider elements within the syllabus that can remove barriers to understanding the system of your class and how it works—basically, make it a more welcoming document and, as a result, a more welcoming class. Come to the webinar to get ideas and share ideas!
