Navigating Classroom Dynamics: An Anti-Racist and Trauma-Informed Approach

Join the three-part webinar series designed to revolutionize classroom discussions by introducing an anti-racist and trauma-informed approach to conflicts. We recognize that students bring their entire selves to class, encompassing bodies, emotions, and neuro-systems, often carrying traumas resulting from microaggressions, racism, religious differences, and various conflicts. Instructors play a pivotal role in addressing these behind-the-scenes issues to foster an inclusive learning space that supports all students, including those who may be traumatized.

Session Three

Embark on a transformative journey in this webinar as participants navigate individual and collective strategies for addressing burnouts, shutdowns, and triggered brains and bodies among both instructors and students. Through engaging activities and group discussions, attendees will collaborate with the webinar facilitator to explore various scenarios, fostering a deeper understanding of these challenges.

This webinar creates a brave space, encouraging participants to share and incorporate real-life experiences and struggles faced by instructors across Minnesota State campuses. We blend anti-racist, trauma-informed, and community-building practices, fostering an environment that values collective well-being and resilience. Join us in building a supportive community committed to navigating the complexities of teaching and learning in today’s diverse educational landscape.

This is part of a series, register for each session separately:
