The NED was established to provide educational development opportunities that are designed by Minnesota State faculty and staff for Minnesota State faculty and staff. These opportunities help build awareness, develop knowledge, skills, and abilities, and provide space for reflecting and revising.

Topic: Regular and Substantive Interaction in Distance Education
The U.S. Education Department has set guidelines for distanced learning and has recently offered new guidance for what kinds of instructor-student interactions will count as regular and substantive (RSI). In our time together, we will discuss how our campuses are handling the guidelines and guidance, address questions, and together brainstorm innovative practices for engaging with students in online learning.

- Participants sharing local campus perspectives on meeting regular and substantive interaction (RSI) guidelines (20 minutes)
