The report describes six principles to help define efforts to identify savings and returns from open educational resource (OER) investments and offers two frameworks for making those calculations. Throughout the report, there are examples and artifacts of how others are approaching these determinations. Its guidance equips policymakers and other officials as well as advocates to communicate the full benefit of OER in a clear and accurate way.

Minnesota State is seeking members for a two-year cohort within the MN REFLECT project. The project brings together faculty from across disciplines, institutions, and experience to participate in a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) faculty learning community. Minnesota State MN REFLECT scholars will be supported as they develop, implement, and present research results at a conference or in a journal.
